We respect different cultures. A variety of activities celebrating Chinese and other countries’ festivals, such as the Lantern carnival of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year Fair, Christmas party, Easter party, Tasting different countries’ cuisines, etc., are organised in the school every year for children to learn different cultures and customs.
Different strategies are applied to develop children’s interests in learning Chinese.
Chinese elements, e.g. learning materials, wall games and books, are placed all over the campus to encourage children to learn Chinese.
We develop children’s interest in learning Chinese and learn basic words & phrases used in daily life through storytelling.
We encourage children to discuss, play and interact in groups during the lesson. By doing it, not only could we encourage them to establish friendships between children , but would also foster their language development.
